Laurentian Forestry Centre
Name: Dr. Deepa Pureswaran
Title: Research Scientist, Forest Insect Ecology
Organization: Canadian Forest Service, Laurentian Forestry Centre

Title: Research Scientist Entomology
Organization: Natural Resources Canada, Canadian Forest Service
Responsibility on EIS project: Veronique is a Co-lead on the evaluation of the efficacy of the Early Intervention Strategy, and more specifically in charge and interested by evaluating the potential impacts of our treatments on the insect community, focusing mainly on other caterpillars and on their natural enemies. The idea is to make sure that we won’t have a negative impact on the naturally-occurring mortality of the SBW by affecting the larger trophic network. She is also involved in the Budworm Tracker project. And is a French speaker spokesperson for the project, making the project fully bilingual.
